MHSA Training and Technical Assistance
ACCESS provides training and technical assistance to counties, state agencies, clients, and communities to improve understanding of the MHSA. We also also promote meaningful stakeholder involvement in state and local mental health policy and program planning.

Since 2021, we have also been providing opportunities for justice-involved individuals living in the Superior and Southern Regions of California to have their voices heard.
In-Person Trainings
ACCESS provides in-person MHSA trainings to community stakeholders and leaders and other key-decision makers in the California Public Mental Health System.
We provide Community Empowerment Workshops for clients/consumers​, peer support workers​, mental health advocates, ACCESS Ambassadors​, other community stakeholders​, and the general public. For local and statewide leaders we offer MHSA Leadership Training.

Overview
Participants learn about the MHSA from it's beginnings to its current status. We specifically highlight its grassroots origin, key components, and its requirement for stakeholder involvement. Participants also learn about their rights under MHSA, how they can participate in the planning process, and applicable state and federal laws. We also provide a have a real-world opportunity for participants to advocate for services and policies that positively impact clients in their community.
