Coverage of Services to Promote Children’s Mental Health: Analysis of State and Insurer Non-Complian
Mental Health America partnered with the Wellbeing Trust and the California Children's Trust to release a new report "Coverage of Services to Promote Children’s Mental Health," as families experience increased rates of mental health problems during the COVID-19 pandemic. This report analyzes the current law protecting families' access to prevention and early intervention services for mental health, finds likely violations of these laws under Medicaid and private insurance, and offers policy recommendations for federal and state governments to fulfill the rights of families to effective mental health care.
